I recently installed a Mx Pro LO 100mm fork. Thanks in advance! I just noticed this thread and thought I should x- post my questions here. I thought the fork had a negative spring Is this a known problem (too much oil from the factory or something)? Can I fix it myself or do I have to send it in? I am not even sure what makes the fork extend in this case. It still creeps back up after I push it down. The funny thing is that this happens even if I let all air completely out.

I just bought a new 2006 All-Mountain 2 ETA fork and it's great except for the part where when I engage ETA the fork doesn't stay down but slowly creeps back up which basically makes ETA useless. If so, can I adjust the oil level to the typical 50mm below the top of stanchion thread spec.? The Marzocchi Oil Level Table spec. I am assuming the fork oil level is too high. If I use less air pressure I get excessive brake dive. I just noticed this thread and thought I should x- post my questions here.

I have to run far too much pressure to avoid the spikes and only end up getting 60% of way too progressive travel.Ĭustom mods to the simple valving maybe? I'm thinking I should get the compression side internals from the RC2X? Are they still available? That's a lot of questions but my wrists are going to snap soon so thanks for any info. Going into a rough section it'll work for a couple of hits and then bang!, it's like there's oil cavitation and sudden zero compression damping. I think I'm riding as fast as I ever have at the moment but the fork is spiking really badly. However on it's last service I put the usual 10wt oil and 10cc's more than the stock for my weight (200cc) and suddenly it's all over the place. Hello all, I've cut and pasted this here as for some reason when I posted it it ended up on page 5? I have a 06 66VF2 that I've had lots of luck with.

A big advantage of the Marzocchi shock was its ability to be rebuilt, seal kits and service manuals being readily available. Strada units were OEM for Triumph's T140LE Royal Wedding and TSS models. Their later 'Strada' model introduced a degree of air suspension to motorcycling and, like the oil shocks, were available as aftermarket fittings for a large number of models. Up until the 1980s, Marzocchi were original equipment manufacturers ('OEM') for a number of Italian motorcycle marques including Moto Morini and Ducati, their oil shock absorbers also being OEM for Triumph Motorcycles in the latter stages of their production at the Meriden plant.
